Bringing Hollywood
to Huntington
The business of film and television production is rapidly growing!
In response, Ed Smyth, Supervisor of the Town of Huntington (left in photo), appointed Joe Schramm (right in photo) to start up the Town’s new Office of Film & Television with the goal of promoting Huntington as a new hub for the film and TV production industry.
The Office has two objectives:
To increase the number of location shoots, and
To expand the number of production facilities in the Town.
The Current Situation:
The Town of Huntington is currently home to a handful of television production facilities capable of producing news, talk shows, and single-set shows. However, Huntington does not currently have a major production facility capable of handling big studio films and streaming TV series. The Studios at Huntington Station, when constructed, will provide Huntington with its largest production campus capable of hosting film and television productions of any size.
